Gary, You’ve written a spot on piece. I loved the bit on how one views aging when younger influences how one deals with it when they age. And you’re so right about what we accumulate as we become an elder in the tribe— wisdom.
You brought up Biden, and that’s the only spot I disagree with you on. I don’t care for either party any longer. So, my point is not about politics but is about the importance of knowing when to hold em and knowing when to fold em. For me, Joe is not sharp enough any longer.
It’s not because of his age, it’s because he’s bumbling around too much on the worlds biggest stage. End of speech. 😁
I love that you are putting a voice to honoring the much needed elders of the world today. Your list is a good example of who is still kicking ass.
When Mick Jagger can’t snarl, coo, and sing the lights out or remember the words to Start Me Up, I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t be on stage anymore. He will dance quietly off stage into the moonlight and we will be grateful for what he gave us and we will be happy he did his last show before embarrassing himself.
Take care Gary and stay healthy!
